About Bill C. English

Mission

I am an interaction and visual designer on a journey to discover how design and technology can make a positive impact on people.

Approach

My approach to improving user experiences involves the following…

  • … the observation of how real users interact with technology.
  • … iteration, prototyping, and constant refinement.
  • … diligent study of the masters of fine arts and visual communication.
  • … fearless experimentation and exploration.

Biography

Raised in southern Indiana, I’ve been making art on a computer for as long as I can remember. The internet and the web browser allowed me to finally merge my lifelong interests in graphic design and sequential art with my fascination of technology and programming. Directly after graduating in 2001 from the Indiana University School of Fine Arts, I became the primary print and online designer for the Indiana University School of Informatics, a cutting-edge and rapidly expanding school formed in 2000. I then became senior designer and developer for theMechanism in Manhattan, New York from the summer of 2005 to January 2007.

I am currently the lead designer at Tuitive in Indianapolis.
